As our children enter campus every day, we want them to be greeted by a welcoming Waldorf environment that grounds them firmly in nature. Now in our third year at our permanent home, we are continuing the process of transforming our campus, per our master plan, to achieve our vision.
A key component to having flourishing landscape and garden areas is water. Many of our irrigation lines are in need of repair, and some parts of campus lack access to water. In addition, we will beautify our front play yard to give it a more inviting and natural, organic feel.
For our 2018 Fund-a-Need, we will install and repair irrigation lines, add water spigots and drinking fountains, as well as perform electrical upgrades. In addition, we will remove concrete and add plantings outside the pergola in the front play yard (outside of the second, third and fourth grade classrooms).
Our goal for this year’s Fund-a-Need is $20,000. Any funds raised beyond this amount will go toward additional campus beautification. We have already received a $5,300 grant this school year from the Waldorf School Fund that will go towards this effort.
With your help, last year our 2017 Fund-a-Need allowed us to build a shade pergola over the front play yard and a play structure in the back corner of campus. Let’s continue to build on that work. Join us in supporting our 2018 Fund-a-Need so we can continue to transform our school. Whether you participate on auction night at Camelliapalooza or before or after the event, every gift makes a difference. Be a hero, and help support this year’s Fund-a-Need at whatever amount is right for you. Contributions may be made online, by mail, and in the school’s front office. If you will be with us on auction night, we will have paddle raises at the $5,000,$2,500,$1,000,$500, $250,$100, $50 and $25 levels.
